Life Act: Suicide Prevention Education

contact_header-optionb

Last year more than 20,000 students participated in our program - 1,354 came forward to our instructors seeking help.

LifeAct saves young lives.

SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Our school programs, Recognizing Teen Depression and Preventing Suicide for high school students, and U R O K ™ for middle school students, teach students to manage stress, recognize the signs of depression, and know how to access the tools to help themselves and others. Our caring instructors facilitate learning and collaboration with the students by teaching this sensitive topic in a small group setting.

RESOURCES

80% of people with depression respond favorably to treatment and almost all experience relief from symptoms.

LifeAct is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving young lives. By focusing on the act of reaching out, we are able to educate teens about depression and empower them to take the steps toward life. Our partners complete the circle of care. . . in real time.

SUPPORT

LifeAct sponsors two annual fundraising events in which you may participate to show support of our lifesaving organization. This year our Links for Life Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, June 29th at Kirtland Country Club, and our Into the Light Walk will be held on Sunday, October 4 at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. However, our mission is year-long. Please consider a donation to help us reach more teens in crisis.

“I like the new name change from SPEA to LifeAct. It’s much more positive and makes it easier to talk about sensitive topics like depression & suicide.”
